that info is incorrect, honda made dohc d series in 1st gen integras.

its like a camel...D for one hump = one cam, and B for two humps = two cams. But as stated above there are exceptions...and no not all B series are vtec, (B20, B18A i think are some examples). But yeah...next time search.

He never said it was a engine type. he asked if all B series came with vtec.
And answer to the new guys answer is all the d-series are single over head cam and 2 came equiped with vtec Z6 and the Y8.
They made Dual over head cam engines in japan that some consider d-series but are really called ZC. ZC engines came in DOHC, Sohc non-vtec, and Sohc Vtec
All B-series are dual over head cam and are not all vtec.

stop saying all d-series are sohc. zc was not the only dohc d-series. The dohc d16a1 was in earlier integras in the usa. a common swap in 1st gen crx's. And no they are not the same as the zc, zc has different pistons, cams etc.
You seem to be the guy i need to talk to. I have a true jap import 91 crx si with a zc sohc. But i also have a dohc zc that didnt originally show up in the crx at all. Its a 3rd gen d16b zc dohc from europe. Can i put the cams from a b seires in it?
