Um... Every now and then...Honda changes the design a little... IE, Del Sol bumper changed in 96... Anyway, the 99-00 civic has the different bumper, and to put that on your 96-98 you'll need the 99-00 grille, headlights, fenders, and hood too. Also the 99-00 civic has different taillights and a taller spoiler.

Re: (Hapexamendios)
The rear bumpers are the same for all 96-00 models. The rear didn't change (except for the red/clear tail lights and Si wing) until 99-00.

Yes, I see that. He asked about foglight placement though, which is on the 99-00 civic. They look very similar, and it seems like you could just swap the bumpers out, which is most likely his purpose in creating this thread. I was stating that in order to have the foglight placements, he'd need a 99-00 bumper (which would fit on his 96...) if he got all the other necessary components (fenders, hood, headlights, grille).

Not true. 99-00 bumpers are different, they have a "lip" on the bottom, whereas the 96-98 curves in. I know this because I have a 97 EX with a 2000 rear bumper.

Wrong. Both bumpers had foglights. Both bumpers can be easily modified if they didn't come from the factory with foglights.

woah there jdmeg6rhd w/ the caps....no need to blast us away..
Anyways,he was asking about STOCK bumpers...
Anyways, to answer your question B20turbovtec,the 96-98 frnt bumper does have foglight placement, they get mounted on the left and right side of the black grille on your bumper. Look closely and you'll see the mounting tabs(as mentioned by mulletov). I personally think the 96-98 fogs look sweet.
Hope that helped and didnt confuse ya man..
