Default Detailed diagnostics help!

Ok, here is my problem, my analysis, and my setup.

I am getting very poor gas mileage, probably in the neighborhood of 3-8mpg depending on conditions. I also have a strong odor of gasoline when my car is running. There is black smoke that comes from the car, especially at high rpms or wide open throttle. The idle is also unusually low and sounds as though I'm "lobed out" with a huge set of cams.

I figure I am running VERY rich for some reason or another. It is not the spark plugs, as I changed them tonight and nothing was fixed.

My setup is a 92 Civic DX hatch with a 95 B18c1 swap. I had this motor previously in a 94 CX without ANY problems. The problems began as soon as I put this engine into the DX. I am running the stock GSR FPR.

The only thing that I can possibly think of is something in the fuel system. Whether it be the fuel filter (stock DX), the FPR, or maybe the fuel pump.

If anyone has a possibly logical solution/explanation for this, I would much appreciate it. Thanks for all input.

It could be his distributor (coil?) or a leaky injector possibly.

Ok, I've been thinking about it all day.

I figure that if its the fuel pump or something in the lines, then I would not be running rich. I figure it has to be something past the FPR. If it was anything before, it would be limited at the FPR. I cant think of how it could be the FPR itself though, because it was working before I put it into this car. It only started acting strange when I put the motor into this car. Hmmm....... any thoughts?

Could be ECU related, if the ECU is grounding the injectors all the time you COULD be injecting continually.

I assume it COULD be ECU related, but I don't think it's the ECU itself. If anything ECU related, it could be a bad connection in the chasis harness. It ran just fine in the previous car, so I am definetely thinking that it is a part that stayed when I swapped out the old motor for my b18c1.
