del sol throttle cable issue
I have a 94 del sol SI with a jdm b16 swap. When I did the swap I wasn't sure what throttle cable to buy so for a while I had a gsr throttle cable kind of rigged on there. The problem was that the threads didn't reach the bracket on the intake mainfold. So what I did was order a throttle cable bracket for a b16 and also ordered a del sol vtec throttle cable. I tried putting it on today and it all goes on right...the bracket threads on, I had it attached to everything...but for some reason I have too much slack in the cable. I can't figure it out. I held it up to the gsr cable, it's the same length so I really dont know why there's so much slack. Maybe I just dont know how to tighten it? I have no idea. Any ideas on what is wrong here?

Re: del sol throttle cable issue (devney)
I had the same problem when i swapped my turbo ls vtec in my hatch. I had too much slack and a rough idle. Loosen the bolts that are on the cable that tightens onto the bracket, then pull the cable to the right to tighten the slack and then retighten those bolts and it fixed the rough idle too. So when you are doing this make sure you pay attention to your rpms when the car is on.
