Del Sol SOHC unorthodox underdrive pulley V output??
I keep draining batterys... Drove good for a week on the optima, then it drained it too much... now I have a new energizer batt... the optima is drained to 6v
del sol s
4 month old bosch altenator 3'' pulley
unde3rdrive pulley from unorthodox
25'' 3 groove serpentine belt
no pwr steering
no A/C
the original drive pulley has a massive chip in it
thats why i opted to swap it out and screw up my drive train
HELP PLZ

Re: (onefast93sol)
we' will bust out a multi meter to test the output...
lemme rephrase my question..
will the speed of the pulley, rotating on the altenator, directly effect, the output of the altenator.. also? will i be able to charge my optima battery back to 12v?

Absolutely. Magnetic flux is totally determined by rotation rate.
That said, generally the raw output of an alternator is a 3-phase signal > 14 volts which is then rectified and regulated to the proper voltage.

i have driven for nearly 3 years with an unorthodox ultra-r crank pulley that is about the size of a power steering pulley, voltage is low at idle but i have never had a problem with charging the battery....then again i do no have any kind of stereo...

And if you do remove it for those reasons, the replacement pulley should be dampened, like the pulleys made by Fluidampr.
