Del Sol kick pannels
As some of you know I own a small company called Stereo Integrity. I just got the kick pannels that I made painted by my dad this weekend (he has an automotive size spray booth at his work) and I thought I'd share them with you. The components I'm running are my company's "307" 5" comps and the kicks are painted the same color as my car which I think is called something along the lines of Grande Black Pearl. (*edit - Granada Black Pearl*)

It's Granada black pearl. The drivers side one looks like it covers the dead pedal (which i use quite often). Aren't there enough speakers (6) in a del sol? Not knockin it, just commenting.

Re: Del Sol kick pannels (Electrodynamic)
looks like your feet would crush the speaker and that they take up a lot of room
I dunno if I would put those in my tiny **** Del Sol

on the drivers side it would look like it would interfere with your clutch foot

In my 93 si I have one 6.5" and one tweeter on each door, then behind the seat I have 2 6.5". Do speakers near your feet really even sound that good? I know up here in western MA I wouldnt want to get salt from the roads near my speakers in the winter.

The drivers side kick doesn't interfere with the clutch pedal hardly at all. I just put my foot square on or to the right side of the pedal and things are fine. Square-on the pedal is just fine though.
Imaging is about 6" above where the windshield meets the dash, so the sound is great. The clarity is flat out awesome, and the midbass and sub setup blends nicely at idle and/or low speeds. At moderate/high speeds the midbass disappears, but that's pretty common for midbass door installations...unless you have it mixed to where the midbass is over-powering at idle. BUT, when constructing a SQ setup, you setup for judging/competition with your car off.
...and 9 speakers are still going in the cab. I'm fiberglas'ing one of my 15's and two of my 8's (switchable) behind the seats within the next month.

Re: (eg2R)
Yeah, that's the result of my first and last time buying a product off of ebay ("short" throw shifter - was/is much longer than the DC that was on there) that was a brand I have never heard of being too damned tall. My buddy had an RSX-S shift **** handy so I grabbed it.

a del sol comes with 4 speaker panels altogether. i think as options, you can get 4, 2, or 0 speakers.
well the kick panels, they look okay. i also think they will get in the way. i put my feet there all the time (driver/passenger), so i think i would keep kicking it. maybe if you get a cover over the speakers, then it might be okay. maybe you should cover the kick panels with carpet. get that clean stealth look.
will there be any chance that you would make more and put them up on the market? just the panels, not with speakers. if so, how much?

Those kicks have 5 layers of Bondo on them, so duplicates would cost ~$500 just because of the amount of time I spent sanding. But non-painted, maybe $300. Getting them to fit your exact car (the base is a mold of the carpet once the ECU is re-located) might be a bit tough though.

I'm a little tired but did you just say that they are going to cost $500 and not fit right in my car?

If I have your car they will fit. When you relocate an ECU, the carpet settles in differently in every vehicle - hence, they might not fit exactly. If these were like F-body cars, yes, I would/could gaurantee that they would fit b/c their kicks are integrated with the sill panels and also cover the entire kick panel area with plastic...unlike a Del Sol.
These were custom made for my specific vehicle.
That, and no one asked me to make them for their car - someone make a general question a few posts back. If the ECU isn't re-located the passenger kick would be huge and I would have to mold the rear of the kick off of another Del Sol as my ECU has been re-located.
And from the responses, most people would want them in tweed or try to stretch grille cloth over them (tweed would work because it stretches, grille cloth won't due to the shape of a kick panel) so the price would not be $500. ...or I could just charge you by the hour which would equal out to more than $500 in the case of mine.
