Default Del sol conversion

I just purchased a theft recovery del sol which had its front end (fenders, headlights and bumper) stolen, and I'm pondering how hard it would be to put the 92-95 eg front end on it. I've searched for this topic, and found pictures, but nobody really said if it is a bolt on, or what needs to be done to accomplish it. If you don't like how this looks just please move on to the next thread, since I have to buy a front end I'd like to buy the one that looks better imo. Thanks in advance for any help.

it would require cutting up stock del sol fenders as well as cutting up the new fenders and mating them together. Then move on to the radiator support, followed by bolting on the hood, bumpers, and lights.

fenders need to be cut and mated (both sets, del sol and civic), you will also need the civic core support from what I have heard, I thought they were the same.

Start off by grabbing up all of the parts you can that you'll need for sure (fenders, hood, lights, bumper ,etc.). Try bolting them on. (which I'm pretty it won't). From there cut and weld what you need to make it work.

Good luck. If you ever get it to work definately do a writeup.

If done right it's the shiznits.

I'd take up Ricerton's advice and do a DIY writeup too!

i say go for it, that looks awesome. the core supports for the radiator are the same. I dont know why the fenders dont bolt on if the hood lights and bumper do it probably cause the dore are differnt.

I don't like the eg front on the del sol at all. The ek front looks alot cleaner but I like the del Sol front best of all. It's wider than the eg/ek fronts.

Adam - who thinks the del sol front should be up for 3 emmys.

That's the point. However, it's still pieces of two different fenders. The lower portion next to the door is from the original del sol fender, the rest is from the civic coupe. The body lines are different on the coupe and the sol.
