Del Sol to Civic (EK) headlight conversion... need help!
I 've been trying to find out how an EK Civic front-end to Del Sol convert would fit together... I havent found out much on "how to assemble/convert" it>>
Heres what im talking about, i will prefer a different front spoiler but i like it!
Example
So im calling on anyone who can help me out with this. I'm looking to see if there were any troubles with it. I know what items would be required. However the fenders im not sure about... where would i get the right ones to fit the headiies??
I know i need:
hood, hood clips, hood latch and hood latch release cable, front spoiler, headlights and Rad. support. From the url i have provided you cant contact that guy ive tried like 50 times its a dead link.
Its a somewhat radical love it or loath it mixed reaction mod. so opinios are welcome but really im crying out for info on HOW TO!!
Thanks in advance...

No sir, I dont believe you know what your talking about.....[/QUOTE]
Um Yes sir I do. 1997 delsol didnt come with fog lights. They are the only year that they didnt. The lights do look like 1 piece lights though. So actually he might have bought some from Japan. You can buy 1 piece headlights (JDM spec lights)
If you dont think I know what Im talking about, go do some research retard.

Sorry cant help you with the swap, but I would like to say that that is one of the nicest del sol's I have seen! That conversion works very well with the rest of the car, unlike many conversions that are just not thought out! I love it!

No, you don't know what you are talking about. True, 97's didn't have the aux. lights, but those are NOT the stock headlights. It is indeed a swap that looks like it came from a 98-00 Civic. Do some research before you come back.

UM no dumb *****. My buddy has a 96 Sol and it doesn't come with the foglights. I know for a fact that the 96-97's come with the one light not the two like on the earlier models. You guys make me laugh, you seem to know it all about cars you don't even have. GO EAT SOME RICE AND LEARN WHAT YOU ARE TALKING ABOUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The 97 sol with 99/00 conversion
Typical 97
Another typical 1997. Also notice the lack of grill where the badge is. Two totally different front ends. Hope that you can now see that you are VERY wrong!

Re: Del Sol to Civic (rc1320)
that has to be THE MOST hidious del sol i have ever seen.. the only conversion i have seen that i think looks half right on it is the JDM teg conversion.. and also so that i can join in the "owning party" i have a del sol too and that IS NOT a del sol front end jackass....

front end coversion
Props to those who own Del Sols "AND" know what they are talking about!
Those who dont... like we say in oz **** off mate!
That said... moving on.
Look at these pics, this is the crux of my concerns. Will the EK headlight fit snug in the position where it meets the fender, as does the current stock headlight ?
SEE PICS->>
this is the current stock fender to headlight profile my sol has
heres a close up (not my sol)
this is the profile i will want.
I wanna be concrete on this coz if I need to buy a fender with a different profile then I will have to source one.

Re: Del Sol to Civic (EpDarks)
No, I don't think they bolt right up. I'm not 100% sure about this, but pretty sure. You'll have to get these parts from a civic
-hood
-fenders
-lights
-core (radiator) support
-front bumper
-and all the little parts, latches and cables
Then what you do is take the del sol fenders off and cut them in half, throw away the front half. Then take the civic fenders and cut them in half, and throw the back half away. Then mold the back end of the del sol fenders to the front end of the civic fenders. That way the back end of the fenders can match up with the rest of the car and the front end of the fenders can fit the headlights and match up with the front bumper.
My cousin and I are about to do this, but we're putting a 96 civic front end onto a 94 civic.

Re: Del Sol to Civic (jdmsol)
I have to say Mr. JDMSol is pwning on this subject. I too own a 97 Sol si and it does not have fog lights. BUT some people rather the fog lights and get earlier year sol bumpers.
