Default decoding a civic vin?

does anybody know how to decode a civic vin? i need to know whether a civic has an auto or manual tranny by looking at the vin. i need this asap, so if somebody knows, reply already!

This makes no sense, you have a V for Japan on the 1st pos., but your vin starts with J, and for 2nd., you have an H for Dodge and Honda

innates post makes a lot more sense
