Deal Seems Really Good?
Found this for sale only $400..
- 1994 Civic CX Hatch
- 1999 Si SOHC engine w/ CAI
- Tires with decent chunk
- Coilovers
- 2 extra doors w/ glass (painted white) if you want them
- Privacy cover for the hatch
- Aftermarket deck
- Battery with lots of life
"Car is not pretty, it starts and runs well, has a hole in the exhaust and the slave cylinder is leaking, which means that the clutch only works when it feels like it. Would need a front windsheild at minimum for safety. "
I'm 18.. I have a 2000 hatch right now that needs a drop badly.. Should I waste my time with this car or is it not worth it?

o/p, it looks pretty strait from the pictures, although looks like a repaint so there could be hidden rust so be careful, although you should know better than i since you live up there. but for 400 i'd buy it, you could easily make your money back just in selling the motor and interior parts no?

$400 for a mostly rust-free EG hatch in Ontario?
Hell, that's a good price for one in St. Louis.
The biggest potential problem I see is whether or not that's a rattlecan Rustoleum paintjob. It looks like hell from the front, and if it's Rustoleum, you can only paint over it with more Rustoleum. If you ever want to repaint it for real, you'll have to strip the car down to the metal. Shooting automotive paint over top causes rattlecan paint to lift horribly. You just can't do it without stripping all of the junk paint off first.
Not saying it is, but that kinda looks like it might be a rattlecan job.
And yes on the Canadian Si getting the SOHC d16y8. The B16 came in the Canadian SiR.

Re: Deal Seems Really Good?
Yeah, he emailed him, I figure if anything I can get my money back out of it.
There could be bondo and hidden rust so I would probably strip any rustoleum off anyway.
The "coilovers" on there are probably ****.. So take those off I guess, maybe resell my buddy said he can do some welding and shaving on the quarter panels if I do find any hidden rust..
HMMMM
