Default dead spot???

after driving my car for about 10 or 15 min, it has a dead spot around 2k rpms. i did a small tune job - plugs, wires, cap and rotor button but the problem is still there. i have a 93 eg hatch with the d15b7 in it. any ideas??? is it maybe the coil? also, when this problem begain my gas milage really bit the dust. plus no power. if i could just get some ideas of where to start next that would be great. thanks for the help.

What is a dead spot?
You mean like the cars rpms stuck at 2k and can not pass it? How does it sound? Does it bog, sputters, lack of power?

Umm its been a few years back when i had that problem
First thing i would do is check the dizzy, it might be the coil also.
Check the o2 sensor it might be bad, since o2 tells the ecu how much fuel to feed.
Also check the map sensor or tps.
I dont know if these things i mention might help or not. Some one here should know the problem.

its right at 120k miles. fuel gauge doesnt work so ive been running it out of gas alot. i probly picked up lots of crap out of the tank and got it stuck in the fuel filter. its just weird that it would only do it at low rpms.
