I dont have my swap yet but it is on its way (literally). I did however pay cash for my 94 Si ($3200 in perfect shape). I work at Circuit City in Newnan, GA. I work part-time, about 25 hours a week and also go to school. We work on commission because I am a sales person (computers). I make about $1700 a month before taxes. It's a pretty sweet job, especially during the winter. I make closer to $4k a month during November and December. Wish I could use that cash for a new paint job, but I have to save for my summer vacation to Japan.

wow, my dad SOLD me my first car...ive paid for everything i wanted since i was 14, only thing i got was lunch money in highschool from my mom, anything else, i paid for...and look at me, i just got a Supercharger. bought the car, drove it and saved for a year, (had it one year, come yesterday) and now i just dropped $4k into it, Cash. save you ducketts, and goto parties where the beer is free (or until theyre so drunk it doesnt matter if theyre charging...)

In the summer i would work a 40 hour week and pull in about $520 every 2 weeks. Now i go to school and put in 30 hrs of work, including saturdays. I try not to touch the money i have saved up, which works for the most part. I'm trying to convince my mom, certified NYSE consultant, to help me with some stock market investments to try and maybe double or even triple my money. Bottom line, its all about saving and having a budget. Do not, and i repeat, do not go into debt for something like a car! It's just stupid. Keep in mind your future also and have reasonable goals. If you need to pay for your school, insurance, rent, utilities and all of that then maybe a custom B20 is a little out of your reach, while a B16 would be perfect.

i am 20 and i am still trying to save for a swap. its really hard. i am in the military so i have a garunteed check but still. i always seem to have something to pay for. its always somebody's birthday or anniversary. i send my parents money just because and i live on my own. i still pay for car and rent, utilities, all this ****. i also have girlfriend whom i love very much so we always do things together, its was a relationship is all about right? making the other feel happy and getting things they ask for. anyway, i feel like the guy that created this post. i get frustrated as hell when i know i wont have a b series motor in my bay no time soon. i hate when i see the threads "just finished my swap....pics". i love my car and i try my hardest to keep it up.....but i dont know when ill ever have a swap.

Im 16, and plan on getting an EK Hatchback soon. How I plan on paying for my modifications is simple..Find a nice paying job, not fliping burgers, save for about a good 6 months you have a swap laying in your hands!
_______

Thats what i thought i would do, but it didnt work out, now im really putting off everything in order to do the swap ive wanted since day one..
