Re: DDing a 6 puck???
It depends on your ability both driving and with tranny parts. Driving is going to change a bit, not significantly but enough to notice. Also, 6 puck tends to shift faster, harder, and more efficiently for track purposes so be prepaired to possibly replace your flywheel here and there depending on your driving habbits. IMO, for a DD you do not need it unless you vist the track with the same car during the weekend.

I DD a 4 puck to work and back. Its not that bad. Give it a time so you can find the clutch engaging point and its pretty much like driving stock with a stiffer pedal x]

Re: DDing a 6 puck???
i dd a 6-puck sprung competition clutches stage 4 or something like that.
oem pedal feel but grabs like a bum on a dollar bill.
i love it and after break in a few years back it chirped up to like 5th gear lol.
also low cost and mated with a competition or pic flywheel would be nice decent setup for low cost.

Re: DDing a 6 puck???
make sure you go really easy on it during break in. My 6-puck was a nightmare to drive until about 750 kms then it got nice and smooth now i can drive it smooth as stock however it does require much more finesse then stock lol

Re: DDing a 6 puck???
I got an ACT 6 puck with no springs and a lightweight flywheel, drive it every day, 50 plus miles a day. I drove it fairly easy for about 5 minutes lol, got out of the residential streets and lit em up, lol, It said wait for 1k miles

Re: DDing a 6 puck???
i honestly don't know why they have a break in period. when you rebuild a race car, you put it together in the pits, and then beat the guts out of it 1/4 mile at a time. i never did the break in. if it slips, it slips. but, make sure your flywheel doesn't have hot spots on it, or is discolored. if it is or does, get it resurfaced. but a 12lb flywheel if new, shouldn't give you any problems. its when you get to 8 lbs that you have to worry about street driving. lol.

I have a Competition Stage 4 (6 puck) in my GSR and i daily it with no issues. It is stiffer than stock, but not in a bad way. I don't mind it...

Re: DDing a 6 puck???
A sprung 6 puck is not bad to daily drive, its the unsprung clutches that suck ***.
For a flywheel i had an ACT prolite, and loved it.
