-----DB8 REAR SEAT IN EJ COUPE---PROVE IT!!!-----
I have heard many times this is a direct fit. One day I was just curious to see, so I put my EJ coupe seat into a integra sedan and there were huge gaps on each side about 6-8in. So this would make the db8 seat to wide for the coupe. I have heard (not seen) of people making them fit... The only way I could think of is cutting the rear quarters panels, and that would look like absolute ****. So please help get this myth straight. There are tons of threads but no true answer to this. So if anyone has mastered this swap please post pics of fitment. ect.

Re: (EgSalad)
Sure thougth there would be more involved here.
I may have my stock rears rewraped to match my ITR fronts.... not sure how accurate I could have it done though. up for some answers!

Re: (D3U1LT)
I got the solution to your problem my friend. I have a 1996 EJ8 Coupe and I have installed ITR Rear Seats. With that said this is how I came to the solution, expensive, but I got tired of getting bullshit solutions.
I bought a set of DB8 ITR Rear Seats and DC2 ITR Rear Seats. Not a great way to go, but I am stubborn and I wanted an answer.
First I layed all three sets of seats in my garage to do a visual comparison. All three bottoms and tops have a distinct shape.
Second, I knew my stock ones fit so I compared the ITR Seats individually to my stock ones. The DC2 bottoms fit, but they are not as wide as the stock ones. The DB8 bottom fits but you have to push it up pretty snug and you have a very small gap towards the front, not that bad, and if thats too big of a gap for you then get your **** reupholstered. Picky Bastard, LOL JK
Third and most important step you will take, the backpiece. Sorry but the DC2 backpiece will not fit, too wide. Sorry but the DB8 backpiece will not fit, too tall and too wide. Yes your stock ones will fit if you put them in.
SOLUTION: Remove the cover from the DB8 rear backpiece and place it over you stock backpiece. It is not a perfect fit so you have to play around with it to your liking but it is the best solution out there, without having to spend the money on reupholstery or cutting into your rear panels. Leave your stock backpiece cover on and you will get a nice tight fit from the DB8 cover.
So my best advice to you is do not buy a set of DC2 rear seats because they are useless in your quest to ITR rear seats for you coupe. Buy the DB8 ones. With that good luck finding a nice set and hope you have with this project.

Re: (ELUSIVESIR)
What generation coupe are you working with? EJ1 or EJ8? It sounds like youre looking for a perfect fit, and neither chassis will allow that...id look into getting the seats professionaly rewrapped
