i have a completely stock 2000 Civic EX. I want to do a mad amount of modification to the car. Engine, and exterior modification can wait for the most part. I want to do alot of things to the interior for now. So my question is... I would like to take out my stock cassette player, and all things in that console... in its place, I would like to try and mount a 7" monitor there... and put a cd/dvd player down by where the cup holders are.

My question is... has anyone ever done this? Does anyone know where I can find instruction/tutorials to do this sort of modification?

I've got a fold out 7 inch monitor/dvd player in my dash and could put in a tuner down there if I wanted.

Thats not what I am talking about. Im talking about having a monitor that is sitting flush in the console. it doesnt retract out of the head unit. The head unit (as a friend told me) could be down by the cup holders in a little storage spot, or whatever it is called.

yea it has been done. you just have to build a frame for it to sit on and be supported. its not hard, look in the apperance section, or just search.
