Dash Keeps Blowing Fuses (3 in a day!!)
ok, i put a tach in my car yerterday, and now i have major problems. first is that i can start my car with my emergency flasher button, but ive figured out that the buton is fucked. the main problem is: ive blown the dash fuse 3 times today. those 3 fuses were all 10amp, like it says, right now i have a 20amp on it. when the fuse blows it doesnt lights up, but when i step on the brake, it works fine.

Ok, first of you need to take that 20 amp fuse out or you will most definately fry something or start a fires. I need a little more info to help you. Was the car ok before the tach install? What kind of tach did you install? Can you be a little more elaborate on the hazard/brake issue. later

beofre the tach was installed the car was fine. its a sunpro mini-tach, from advance auto, the tach works fine, and in no was is it wired to the dash. its all wired through the fuse box.
with the brakes: if the car is on, the lights are off, and i push the brake, all the "parking" lights come on(corners, dash)
the uber complicated emergency switch, ha. ok, if the switch is in the pushed in (normally "on") position, the car is fine, but the flashers arent going. if the car is on, and i push the button to the "off" position, i cant turn the car off, it keeps running. if the car is off and i push it to the "off" position it does the same thing as tuning the key to "on", but not turning the starter. like i could push start my car wityh no key at all right now.
i kinda solved it, in a bad way, i just unplugged the whole emergency switch, and its all good, except i have no blinkers, and my dash blows fuses.

I would take the tach out just to see, if the problems started after the tach install then it might not be installed right. The tach might be working but you might have tapped the wrong line and caused some of the problems.

thats the thing, i didnt tap any lines, other than the blue rpm line. its plugged into 2 of the extra ports on the top of the fuse box, that are made for 12v power, i didnt splice into the lights or the ignition.
