D16Z6 SMOKING AT HIGHER RPM?????
I HAVE A 94 CIVIC EX 1.6 D16Z6. THE VEHICLE SEEMS TO SMOKE ALITTLE AT STARTUP AND AT HIGHER RPMS THE VEHICLE SMOKES MORE AND MORE. I CHECKED THE COMPRESSION AND EVERY CYLINDER TESTS TO ABOUT 174-176 PSI. WHAT OTHER POSSIBILITYS COULD THIS SMOKING PROBLEM BE SINCE IT ISNT A RING PROBLEM BECAUSE THE COMPRESSION WOULD BE MUCH LOWER. I MAY NOT BE CORRECT BUT I THINK COMPRESSION FROM FACTORY IS 180 PSI.
THANK U IN ADVANCE.

IT could be rings, you do have 3 rings on your Piston. OIL and 2 compression. the compresion rings could be good but you could still burn oil due to the 3rd oil ring is gone
It could also be Your Valve stem seals. Witch is possible.
is this all the time or sometimes? When the car sits not running a while or when the car is running for a while?
