The stock redline is plenty. You won't make power far before stock redline, let alone after it.

To get a motor to reliably (and usefully) rev past the set fuel cut and rev limiter, you need to upgrade your motors internal parts -- valves, retainers, valvesprings, camshaft, pistons, rods, bearings, etc.

you will reap no benefit from chipping a stock motor, let alone rev past stock redline. if want to feel some power, do a motor swap, or turbo your existing motor.

you probably won't gain any more power from that chipped ecu, you'll probably mess up your gas mileage and kill your engine faster. have fun

You're not going to make any type of good power building an N/A D-series without pissing GOBS of money into that pipe-dream. Turboing and swapping are the cheapest (and most available) ways to get power out of a Civic.

It doesn't even have to be a big turbo kit. You can build a SOHC turbo setup that's reliable for less than $1000 with junkyard parts.

I'll bet, the GTX is a hog.

If you want to save gas -- don't modify your car.

Don't race it, don't drive aggressively, don't accelerate sharply, don't decelerate quickly. Basically ...

Grandma your **** around town.

you bought a civic to go NA? not on your current setup i hope. and it's easy to say you beat ls integras, but automatc ls's don't count, 1/16th of a mile don't count, and remember it's always the driver, not the car. you building you current set up to go NA you will still not keep up with a vtec b-series motor anyways.

if you want to go fast, with a reliable motor/parts, and stay at a reseaonable price. then swapping to a b-series motor or going turbo on you "d" is the best options. now if you have the money for a k-series motor, then by all means go for it.

but i wouldn't spend not a dime on NA parts for you sohc.

yeah I call bs on beating ls integra's with a single cam unless they were automatic. not that they're fast or anything..
