d16z6 help

I need to disconnect the pipe comming from the water pump to the thermostat and I need to disconnect it at the housing for the thermostat on a d16z6 how is this done? does it just pull out or is it secured in there? thanks.

It's only held in there by the O-rings, just spray a little silcone on the ends to help it break free.

The pipe is called the water transfer tube.

^Yep! There might be one obvious bracket with a bolt for it...but other than that it'll require a bit of pulling.

mine didnt... i just disconnected thermostat housing, one hose going into the water transfer tube, an than just pulled an that **** came right out...

mine somehow sprung a hole right in the middle <see pic below>, so i found one in my garage fulla old junk parts luckily but i dont see a junkyard chargin more than 20 for one...
