Default D16Z6/D15B7 - Are the axles interchangeable?

I was wondering if you guys could give me a quick answer for this. Im about to pick up a complete Z6 swap minus the axles and ECU (ECU is taken care of already though). So I was wondering if my D15B7 axles would be interchangeable with the S20/Si transmission...I consider myself pretty knowledgable with D series motors but not transmissions. So if you guys could help me out that'd be great. Thanks

if the z6 tranny fits the b7 motor than the axles should fit the b7 tranny

Yes, Same axles.. They'll fit

WTB: 92-95 civic ex/si tranny -- prefer SI but EX will do</TD></TR></TABLE>

All 92-95 civic ex/si trannies are the same exact tranny.. Also these are called s20.

Jimmy, isn't the S20 the jdm version of the 1.6 tranny?

I thought the ex tranny was P20 B000 and the dx was P20 A000

whereas the jdm version was S20 B000

wassap?

Edit: Also, I understand that the ex and si's 5th gear is slightly different. I know the casing and everything is the same.

All USDM tranny's say S20 or something along that line where the bar code is as my Si tranny also say's S20. For the actual tranny code you need to look at the passenger side of the diff. Oh and to the OP, yes the axles will work.

S20 Is the term used for any 92-95 civic ex/si tranny..Also i am almost 100% sure they are exactly identical..

Well, from his page here is what I got:

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">
Basic Info
You can tell a DX/CX/VX tranny from a EX/Si by numbers cast into the housing. Just above the filler plug is a set of numbers.
P20/A000 is for DX/CX/VX
P20/B000 is for EX/Si
Other than that, tranny must be split apart to know for sure which one you have.
</TD></TR></TABLE>

S20 is for the jdm version and i think they are the same. I think some S20's already come with LSD.

Yes if your talking about the pilot and throw out bearings. They are all the same for the d series tranny's. I did the Dx to Si tranny swap, but the Dx to Si engine swap is still a better upgrade IMO...lol.
