Default D16Y8 headbolt question

Hi I posted in the classifieds to see if i could find a set of new head-bolts because im doing the headgaskets on my car....well someone posted in there and said that i do not need new ones and if they have only been torqued down once i should be ok...i was just wondering is this true?

Thanks!!

Nope, buy new ones.

Hell, if you dont want to order any, go to your local Honda dealership and buy some new bolts instead of using studs.

I've been told by several people that it's generally ok to use the same headbolts 3 times. Personally I've never trusted this advice, but I guess they've done it without any problems.

My advice is to get arp head studs. They = very good!

don't re-use them. they do infact strech. get a set of ARP's or at least some stock bolts from the dealer.
