d16y8 head on d16z6 block
Ok got issues here, need help asap. I just need to know everything that needs to be done to make this work. I have alot of parts but dont know if they will work, for the z6- sk2 cam gear, arp head studs, stock dizzy, magnecor wires, new timing belt, and head gasket. I bought a built y8 head under the asumption it would fit no problems. If my turbo mani or sk2 IM does not fit i'll be on my way to cali to kill someone, but almost certain that will be ok.

I never swapped heads, but I myself was about to do the opposite. I picked up a built z6 head and was going to put it onto my y8 block. From what I was told, everything should bolt up right, but you will have to do something with the dizzy and the timing. I know for the z6->y8 conversion, I was told that I had to put y8 internals into a z6 dizzy housing, and then adjust the timing. Sorry if this was of no help at all, but I hear its all in the dizzy. Bump!
