D16y8 compression test done. #'s too high?
I finally got off my lazy *** and did a compression test on my d16. All the cylinders were 205 across the board. I know it's good that they're consistant, but don't you think that's a little high?

Were you watching a boost/vaccum gauge? were you near 0 on it in the vaccum side when you performed the test? Not sure if this could affect the test.
Maybe carbon build up?

how many times did you crank it? all you want from a compression test is consitency the actual #'s dont "really" matter

Arent you only suppose to turn the car over 3 times?
Either way dont worry about it as long as the numbers are together you have a good motor.
Example:
205 200 205 203 (good motor)

My mini-me made 215 across the board. This is with 10.1:1 compression. The Y8 has 9.6. Those numbers are good, it means you have a healthy motor
