Default d16y7 swap into eg wont start

I swapped a d16y7 into my eg and used my old d15b7 harness and everythings plugged in, coolant, oil, plugs and firing order are all correct, it turns over but wont start, it doesnt have spark, i took the dizzy off and the moudule and rotor was missing, i replaced it with my d15b7 one and still doesnt wanna start, what can be the problem? are the d15b7 dizzy and d16y7 dizzy not interchangeable? help me asap please

the d15b7 is obd1. and the d16y7 is obd 2, so yea there no interchangeable. i would say ask a buddy to lend you his dizzy to see if it cranks over, if it does swap internals off of both and see if you can get one good one of two dizzys, if all else fails buy a new one.

first of all the y7 dizzy should not just clip right on to the b7 wiring harness. second i think the dizzy you bought on craigslist is f**ked up. try changing out the rotor ignition module off of another dizzy if you have one laying around. if not your gonna have to buy a new one.

take the internals from a WORKING dizzy (distributor) and put them in the casing of the y7. also you have to change the plugs going to dizzy to the plugs that are on the y7 harness. second do you have the correct ecu??

The D15B7 one should work fine; including connecting right to the stock Civic harness.

Did you make sure to hook up all the ground wires? The main one on the thermostat, the one from the frame by the transmission, and the one to the valve cover?
