D16y7 swap to D15B7
hi im trying to swap the D15B7 into my 96 lx. it only has 30km on the motor hence the swap. i kno i need to get a conversion harness for obd1 to obd2 and put the d15b7 ecu in. other than that what else do i need from the old 94 hatchback. i want to get it towed away but i dont wanna forget parts! im a newb also and dont kno what alot of stuff is, so a little description would be very helpful thank you

swap over intake and exhaust manifolds, alternator and distributor and you're done. No need to convert to obd1 or use the obd1 ecu. Reuse your axles as well.

ok...if i put the ecu from the 94 into the 96 with a obd1 to obd2 wiring harness will that avoid it? and when u say reuse the axles do u mean the ones that are currently in my 96 or take the ones out of the 94?

Yeah if you use the OBD1 it will avoid it. However if you have emissions testing where they hook up the OBD2 scanner you will fail as the OBD1 ECU will not connect to the machine.

i dont have emissions tests to worry about where i live. so if i connect the obd1 ecu with a a harness, i can buy adapters for the dizzy and alternator and intake to just plug to the existing wires can i not?
