Default d16y7 sawp to d16y8

i've already have everything out
my car: 99 civic hb (y7)

y8 intake man., tb.

i have a complete y8, w/ ecu, and switched over all my stuff, but i didn't get the cam gear.

so......i put my cam gear on, and noticed that my dist. plug and the one on the y8 are different.

should i cut the wires, and solder the plug, or can i use my y7 dist.?

also, am i okay using the y7 cam gear?
