Default d16y7 leaking oil timing belt side.

im having trouble locating the leak(s)

i freshened up the engine with new gaskets oil pump and water pump it was ebay sht ( honda OEM parts are bit out of my budget.

i made a stupid mistake of using silicone gasket sealant on the headgasket(yes i know lol i was pretty tired and didnt really pay attention)

so a week later it blows up and overheats for maybe 2-3 minutes( half a block before the house)

replaced the gasket with3 layer metal gasket and sprayed it with copper spray.

theres absolutely no coolant leaks now

but oil is leaking from somewhere on timing belt side and i cant see where.

i also bought an oil pan from partsgeek and it seems like its sipping through both sides where crankshaft is(the rounded parts on each side) i did use hitemp silicone there.

but the oil is allover the timing belt area so its hard to tell.

and also on the tranny side.

its blown allover the bottom of the car on both sides but not on the exhaust pipe...

Is it possible the leak is just from the old headgasket? Or is it fresh.

Could be a cam seal.

Have you pulled the timing cover off?

the cam seal doesnt have a drop of oil on it.
all the seals have been replaced as well as the oil pan oil pump and rear main seal front main seal.

i used a paper headgasket first but it blew up inside cylinder.i cleaned it out and used a metal gasket second time and it was fine for about 6-8 months.

i did remove and tighten headbolts in proper sequence every time
and used torque wrench for every single bolt on the engine.

i ve heard alot of people say that single cam heads warp easily is that true or is it because of improper torque sequence?

really would hate to take it apart again as i did 4 complete engine rebuilds and swaps within last year by myself and built my gsr motor. and my back is damn tired lol. it was fun first 2 times now i hate to even think about tearing down another engine.

It could be true, I am not 100% sure on that. I have heard that as well though.

BUT, if it was the head, wouldn't you think you'd have a coolant leak as well?

It could possibly be the HG, again. My freinds OEM GSR headgasket was leaking oil with in a week of install.
