Default d16y7 intakes?

like the topic says what setups have you guys been doing. The y7 is retarted. I just wanna throw an intake on it for the time being. Any pics or directions?

I drive a 99 cx
I had a k&n drop-in filter in the Y7 box for a while now
I just picked up a Y8 Intake manifold, so hopefully i'll get that put on
and get an aem cai

have i got a deal for you.....AEM cold air intake and AEM adj fuel regulator 150 bucks....ran both of them for 3 months.....i no longer need em since that y7 is no longer moving my car down the road.....

Just run open tb. Its free, its loud, probably makes a couple hp and if you suck something into the motor you have an excuse to go hybrid

I moded a Arospeed shorty intake with another pipe custom bent to make it a CAI with an add on 8" K&N cone filter in the fender wheel well.



Don't think the D16Y7 is a limited engine, it has potential.

I used the AEM cold-air for the 96-00 dx,lx,cx. When I got the LS motor, I just cut the intake piping in two places and it still works cold-air

i have a y7 automatic and i have raced a few y8 5speeds and beat them.
i did get beat by a y8 with i/h/e and ignition.
see my car under archives and look for 98 civic coupe.

happen to have a picture of that cut aem on the ls motor. I have an aem cai on my dx and am droppin in a d16y8 so i may just ghetto rig the old aem cai on.

if you can find a 92+ Si/EX manifold it will bolt right up to the Y7 head, infact I have a spare 92-95 Si intake manifold for sale if you're interested. email/IM me ..

it should. But I don't know if Skunk has even come out with their SOHC intake manifolds and camshafts yet.
