Default D16y7 to D16y8 conversion question

If i am to convert my 99 civic from d16y7 to d16y8 how much will it help me to get a y8 tranny? Does it really make that much of a difference?

The tranny will make more of a difference than the Y8 head will.

Most definitely. I put an EX tranny on my D16Y7 last weekend and it's a world of difference. Haven't done the head, but I can tell you my car is much funner to drive with the shorter gears.

yeah the tranny will help alot, but if u can get both, oh wat the heck DO It. u will love it. the experience and more fun
