hi guys!!
I'm just wondering if any of you ever heard of D16Y6 SOHC VTEC??
And if you do, do you know any specs of it??
I've been through the search button, and found nothing!
So if you guys can help me, it'll be much appreciated!!

nope the engine you're talking about is the D16z6 soch vtec. I personaly think it's the best soch jdm for an si. he probably got it out of a 93 si del sol or ex coupe.

actually you guys are all wrong. A d16y6 comes out of a Civic HX, its 115 hp and is a fuel saver engine. It is sohc vtec also.

ahem..... HX (115hp vtec-e) engine is d16y5 last time I checked.
If he saw the engine in a EUDM car then it is most likely one of those engines made specifically for over there. Just like there is a such thing as a B18C6 we just dont have them in the US.
Sorry I cannot tell you any specs on it as I have never heard of it before either.

The d16y6 was not available in the US i have seen guys from New Zeland on here with them. it is a real motor and it was NOT stock in the usdm HX.
