D16a6 in EG 92-95 civic, Dizzy Adv. Retard Question. HELP
I blew up my stock D15b7 up the turbo. Replaced it with a D16a6.
I switched the dizzy, Injectors, fuel rail, harness, water neck, Delsol Vtec intake manifold and TB, head was ported and polished on exhaust side, Running strait header at the moment and turbo is not on.
When dizzy is at full advanced, it feels like it lags 1-3,500-4 and then comes a live and pulls hard (for a sohc) to rev lemit (needs to be lengthend). I hooked my A/F gauge up and it is reading VERY lean. When i punch it it stays in the lean and only goes up maybe 4 lights (i have autometer a/f) At idle it is at 1-2 pegs. I figured if i retarded it, it might show it running a little richer. I retarded teh distributor and no lie it felt like the car couldnt pull its own weight at all off of idle like it is even MORE retarded then it is supposed to be. I have my dizzy leafs hooked up on the stock points on the D16a6 head (88-91 Si motor) Do i need to modify the dizzy to set it more on the Adv. side to be at full advance? because Im not sure. motor is a obdo and my car is a obd1 and i converted what all i figured was right. thanks to all who may know/help/ or put input in.
