D16 ticking after (relatively) high speed

I will probably tare down the whole engine, replacing all piston rings, and inspecting the rods at the same time.
I will also replace the oil pump.
Since the head is ruined anywas (scratching on bearing surfaces), I have a great plan.
Buying a ported head from Endyn, complete with new valves, valve guides and a valve job.
I will also get a Crower stage 3 cam, as the cam is bad.
Not sure if it's a warranty issue or not yet, as I have sent a few mails to Crower.
I need to see if it is before I send it all the way back to the states, atleast.
Sending it all the way from Norway, for then to find it's not covered by warranty is not something I want to do.
