Re: d16 motor rpm surging
why did you remove the stock oil pressure sensor. from what I know (which is little to mild) usually you leave the normal stock pressure sensor and use a fitting to hook both in, so the car sees its normal pressure sensor and your aftermarket give you a reading, so your car knows whats going on as well as you......
at least, that's how it was done when we did my friends turbo? (oil pressure sensor was put onto an adapter and the new sensor was put on that same new piece.)

Re: d16 motor rpm surging
maybe it has nothing to do with your oil pressure sensor
because Oil pressure shouldn't affect your idle, and if it is you have bigger problems.
look into you IAC valve or a vacuum leak

Re: d16 motor rpm surging
I think a picture would do a thousand words for one...because you talk like a sphinx.
I would agree that oil pressure sender doesnt affect idle...though low oil pressure would most def make your idle rough. lol
It sounds like a vacuum leak. You need to test it by the old cover the holes in the tb, spraying carb cleaner to check for leaks. I would than clean the IAC, and FITV (if yours has it).
Just because you did one thing doesnt mean that you didnt bump something else on accident.
