d16 head
my friend is giving me a spare z6 head. Can i just unbolt mine and put his on or do i have to do some special b.s. like adjust timing and all tht "good stuff"

D16Z6 block i only need to run so i dont have to tow it 40 miles to my friends house so we can install the new d16 and turbo it

If you're just replacing a z6 head with another z6 head...and you don't care about the engine after you drive 40 miles...then it should be very straight forward. You'll want a new head gasket and intake manifold gasket, though. You can probably get away with reusing the head bolts.
The only "timing and special bs" you have to worry about is making sure the head and block are set to TDC. Ignition timing can be pretty off, and the car will still run, but that's very simple to fix.
