Re: (BauleyCivic)
The d16A8/9 was DOHC non vtec motor found in '90-'93 Integra LS/RS (USA), The d16A1 is also a DOHC non vtec motor found in the '86-'89 Integra (USA).
Your looking at about a 25 hp increase in the A8 compared to the A1, and to answer your original question it should work, but dont quote me on that.

i didnt know the second gen tegs came with anything besides a b18
and the whole dohc D series is total different when coming time to swap heads and block with sohc Dseries, but if you say there more than two types of dohc D series then i dunno

US 86-89 Integra - D16A1/3 DOHC non-VTEC
US 90-93 Integra LS/RS/GS - B18A1 DOHC non-VTEC
US 92-93 Integra GSR - B17A1 DOHC VTEC
JDM 88-91 CRX - D16A8/9 DOHC non-VTEC
i don't recall US 90-93 Integra's equipped with a D16A8/9. i think i remember somebody in Australia having a D16A8/9 in his integra though. could be in Canada too.

in this case, it will probably work. both DOHC motors.

somebody put a D16 DOHC head on a D15 SOHC block before, and boosted it. the thread is in here somewhere, but i remember it was frickin ugly. the guy said it ran though.
