Default D16 and B16 Tranny questions

Cable or hydro? lol. I have a 97 civic DX Hatchback and I'm going to buy a 99 civic si engine swap on thursday. I know everything i need so far, but totally forgot about the trans. until my friend brought it up. I need to know if my tranny is hydro or cable...sorry I really dont know and I cant seem to find any info on it. So far the only thing I seemed to figure out is that the B16 trans is a Hydro or at least I think so (correct me if im wrong please) So if I have a cable tranny now I'm assuming that i'll have to buy the hasport cable to hydro converion? am i reading into this right...well anyways, i've got all the rest of the parts in the mail right now, so i just need to figure out this last piece. Thanks!

in case you're mistaken, your d16 tranny will not fit on a b16 engine.

yea you need a hydro B series tranny. And all the rest of the pieces for the swap. Just a B16A2 wont do anything for you. As you wont be able to put it in the car without mounts, tranny, axles, ECU.

X2, A B16A long block without the tranny and other necessary parts will just be a big paperweight.

well I know that the D series tranny wont fit the B series, but that wasnt the question. I was jus wondering if My D series tranny was cable or hydro. because I didnt want to spend the money on a conversion kit if i didnt have to

yea i know guys, sorry let me clarify Im buying the complete swap! lol, yea i found a junk yard that has the full swap (axles, ecu, wire harness, mounts, shift linkage, tranny) Its got everything i need to just drop it in my engine bay without any problems...hopefully...I just wanst sure if my current D series tranny was hydro or cable and the same goes for the B series Im getting with the swap...jus tryna make sure I didnt have to buy anything else to make the tranny to work properly...the only thing i've read is that the down pipe from the b16 wont exactly match the d series cat and i may have to get it modified to fit properly.

OP? yea, I just called the seller to verify and it is complete, including the all the original mounts and brackets. I just had to order the OBD2A->OBD2B Harness to really complete the swap. Spent 141 on a new one...ughh so much money lol
