Default d16

well i have got a d16 head for a mini me. and took it all appart pritty much.#

then at work i put it in the cleaner for engine parts. when i had finnished.

i found a oblong price of metal about 7 min long.

does any1 no were its come from..
any help would be very gr8full

i agree..i want to help ..but have no idea what your taking about..for all i know its a pen..see if you describe it better..

sorry bout the discription, i am not 100% certaint it came outa the head.

bloody hell (i always wanted to type that!) When you spouted the metric stuff i had to jump on ya!

That looks like the 2 alignment pins that help align the head to the block. Take a close look at the 2nd pic in my FS thread. Top row of the 10 holes around the perimeter of the valve chambers. Number 2 and 4

Looks more like the balancing thing from the rocker arms. On the intake side of your valve head you have the 2 arms to push your intake valves open. In between them should be a shorter arm, check all of those shorter arms.

They have that balancing weight in them... something about when Vtec kicks in, a current runs through these weights and synchronizes the valve arms with it to run on your vtec lobe (the larger lobes on your camshaft). Something like that But yeah, looks like the tiny metal that goes in that middle arm.
