I was thinking about dropping in a gsr but i dont care to pay that much money for my motor. I have the flat bottom model del sol. Nothing good in it except my shift ****. I was wondering if anyone has done the same swap and if they would be willing to let me know everything i would need piece by piece. For instances would i have to drill out the motor mount under the firewall and bolt in a mount from the vtech models. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

Not flaming, but make sure to call it vtec or someone is going to get all on your case.

In any event, so are you now planning on just doing the B16 swap? It should be pretty straightforward. since the B16 was available in the Del Sol. I have a regular Civic, so I don't know if it would be a whole lot different doing a Sol swap than mine was.

Good luck on the swap and I hope you can get some help from someone else.

lol thanks man ive seen how people can get on this cite but, did you encounter a lot of difficulties in your swap or was it straight foward

the swap is the same as doing one in a civic. the chassis is the same as far as the engine bay. Look in the Faq on the top of the main page and read it up. it will give you a parts list. and a walk through. And if you are not mewchnicly inclined there are some people on here that will help you out with it.
