D15b7 engine build
Been spectating Honda-tech for years never posted but helped me a lot with many of my projects I had, anyway down to the gritty, planing to build a D15b7 that I have on the side here are the parts list i think should be alright with what I am trying to do.
D16y8 head reconditioned
D16y8 5 speed intake manifold port matched to 68mm.
Blox Racing dual valve springs
Blox Racing retainers
Blox tuner series stage 2 or 3 Sohc Vtec camshaft
Adjustable cam gear
Aem fpr
D15b7 block rebuilt fitted with PG6 (US 86-87 D16A1) pistons
ARP rod bolts
12lbs Aluminum flywheel
Any name brand stage 1 clutch
Only thing popped in my head was the pistons that I am using has anyone used it on a d15b7? Camshaft selection stage 2 or 3's? I am leaning towards stage 2's for DD. Are Phearable ecu's okay to use? Before i shell out an Hondata s300 later on. Please guys need some input on this build nothing serious in mind but just want it a bit faster and reliable for years.

Re: D15b7 engine build
the rods wont be a problem, with it being n/a stock b7 rods breaking point is 200 hp
but yes crower and cx racing both make rods for it.
cams-go with stage 2 for now you can always upgrade to stage 3 later
usually people run the p29 piston in their b7s, but i dont know much about the pg6 pistons in the b7
ecu- Phearable is a good company to get the ecu from
and get the arp head studs and rod bolts
