d15b2 in civic lx
I have a 92 civic lx and i need to drop in a new engine, i found a d15b2 out of a 93 cx, i was wondering if i could drop it in with the same wiring harness and ecu that is in the lx right now. I know they are both obd1.
I boght the car as a my dayly driver since my car is becoming more and more difficult to drive on the street. when i bought it it didn't run, so i pulled the head and found it bent all but 4 valves, snapped a wrist pin, shattered the bottom of a piston, and broke a rod.
I know the d15b2 is the slowest engine honda ever made, but all it needs to do is run. any help would be appreciated

Nope... 92 hp 90 tq... and its from a 88-91 Civic.
A D15B7 is from the 92-95 chasis which is... 102 hp I believe? Maybe 108?
The slowest engine is the HF motor which I believe has somewhere around 50 HP... then the CX motor or the older STD D15B1 motor.
Get your facts straight.

It will work as long as you use your own wiring. Just replace the block and head and use the rest of the stuff from your old engine. Should have no problems.
