Default D15b Vtec Tranny Info???? HMO Tranny

A few months ago I picked up a JDM D15b Tranny from HMO and from what I undestand the US SI/EX trannies have B000 stamped right next to the were the oil drain and plug is at. Now after looking at this tranny I got from HMO it is stamped A000 which in the US version is considered a DX/VX/CX type tranny. What I want to know is weather this JDM D15b tranny is identical to the EX/SI type tranny with the 4.25 FD???
Or is this a DX type tranny. Any info is cool

I tried searching but really couldnt come up with a 100% for sure answer on what tranny it is more identical to since it is JDM YO!! I think it might add about 50whp.

you got the cx/dx version tranny. The si/ex/jdm d15b vtec should all have the b000 stamp. the d15b is with the b000 is identical to the ex/si trannies. send it back and get the close ratio that was supposed to come with it. sorry dude.

Already talked to them and since it was a while since I bought it they wouldnt exchange it. Was also told that they dont have DX nor CX type trannies in Japan so in no way that this tranny is a DX or CX. But the stamped a000 does tell me different like you said. They do only sell JDM d15b trannies but this one says different.

yeah, i think what they probably did was give you a usdm cx/vx tranny with the jdm d15b motor. i think that is the only explaination for it . The stamp a000 definitely means its a cx/vx/dx tranny. weird
