d15b trouble
My friend bough at EG hatch with d15b jdm motor. The guy said that the head had some work done to it but I don't really trust it. The reason why I'm concerned is because there is no rev limiter on that thing and god knows how high you can take the car to, or how high did that idiot took it too. Also the radiator is stock and it over heats when you take the motor close to 8,000 rpms. What should I do to fix it? Replace the radiator with integra one, or should I try replacing the thermostat first?
Help is appreciated

The thing is that the guy believes that there is some head work done, and he is going to contact the guy if he did anything to it. There is no rev limiter on it so I assume that the ECU (po6) was chipped. I'm going to try to throw in 160 degree thermostat in there and get all the air out of the system see if it helps.
BTW I'm sorry we only took it to 7,300-7,400 once my friend accidently reved it up to 8,500 but it was only for split second. What does valve float sounds like, because I know what it is but never heard symptoms of it?

Re: (ABK)
The d15b vtec should NOT overheat...sounds like when the "headwork" was done, it wasn't done properly. I have this swap and temps are exactly the same as with the stock engine. The stock radiator should handle all you throw at it...excluding maybe a turbo...
