D15B questions?
D15B questions?
What is the Stiochiometric air fuel ratio for a D15B7? I am under the impression that 12.0-12.5:1 is better when pulling to redline NA. I think 12.2:1 is the most bang4thebuck on 91octane.
What tools are used to measure the valve clearences? and what should i set them to when running an exospeed stage2 cam shaft? where do i get the tools? or measuring device?
Will the D15B7 benifit from advancing the timing 2-4degrees from TDC? I think it might move the powerband lower and allow me to shift earlier? This in conjunction with the stage2 cam might make a noticable gain given I can optimize the fuel ratios.
What catalitic converter/testpipe will bridge the gap between a 4-1DC header and a greddy sp2 catback? ^d15B del sol

1.) [12.2 : 1] would be pig-rich on your economy engine. You only need to richen up the mixture if you're running boost, high compression, nitrous or radical timing. You aren't doing any of the above.
2.) they're called "feeler gauges" and the proper clearances will be something you get from the cam manufacturer. It'll be in the instructions.
3.) no amount of cam and timing advance is going to make a worthwhile difference on your B7, dude. Get a Z6 if you want to play the "I'm going to waste money trying to make an all-motor SOHC" game. At least then you stand a chance of cracking 14's.
4.) get an adjustable test pipe from Megan Racing.

Re: D15B questions? (Archidictus)
something to fool with while tuning the suspension... I plan on running a k24/k20a2 frankenstein, all motor
smaller motors let you open up the throttle.. they teach you about the handling characteristics of a FWD, i plan on running auto-x, lemme try compensating with technique, and power will come later on, when the suspension is built and tuned
ive also seen a f20c and that intrigued me aswell
f20c with a tsx tranny mounted sideways in an EG
I'm not trying to break any records with a stage 2 cam and advanced timing...
feeler gauge goes on the list and thanks for the info
