Default D15B engine questioin

I recently discouvered that my 93 DX isn't a DX, it has a JDM D15B under the hood. I know it is JDM by the japanese writing all over it and the absence of english. I have two questions though, how to i figure out how old the engine is and which varient of the D15B it is. I've done a lot of searching and the D15B can have anywhere from 90 some odd HP to the 130HP varient (which i hope mine is) My car definately feels like its got a lot more power then 90HP. Oh and most importantly which computer is my engine suppose to have b/c im sure it has the wrong computer thx jason

yeah u'd think, the last vtec i drove was a type r, and when the vtec kicked in it was brutally obvious, on my d15b it isn't as obvious

If it said vtec you could tell even if the paint was gone. The words actually stick out, they aren't just painted on.

If the spark plugs are in the front, closer to the header, it usually means vtec. Where or who did you buy the car from? Did it have any mods when you got it?

If the car had some mods when you bought it, the previous owner might have done a mini-me, which would basically be the same as the 130 hp d15b.

it looks more like your pic b/c i know the spark plug wires run to the back of the engine and are not at the front like the first pic posted. but its a 93 (the car) and the engine is stamped D15B, well the bottom end is

Ok, then this is probably going to be some sad news. You have a d15b7 engine. 102 hp non vtec beast. Stock DX engine. Sorry dude.

Not my engine, I got it off of bauleycivic's mini-me write up. I do have A/C in my DX though.
