Ive tried searching to see if anyone has put the jdm d15b (non vtec) in to a 92cx, but all results come back for the d15b vtec. I just purchased a 92 cx and the previous owner replaced the old engine (d15b8) with the jdm d15b non vtec. To my understanding the d15b obd 1 non vtec engine came dual carbed, but in this car this engine is running fuel injected. So you may ask if it runs why be concerned? My ultimate question is am I causing harm to this engine running the p05 ecu when this engine is a much closer relative to the d15b7 running the p06 ecu?

I had the car emissioned here in GA and it passed with flying colors, but I want to make sure I am not causing unneeded harm to this engine as I dont plan on swapping anytime soon unless an engine just happens to just fall into my lap.

Any help is appreciated.

and just for haha's the previous owner installed a tach cluster into the car, from a car that had cruise control, so now my shift up light is my cruise control light .

it will swap directley in put your intake manifold on it and throttle body plug in and run.

It would be running leaner than it should be, since the D15B8 is an 8-valve engine, verses the D15B being a 16-valve engine.
