Default D15B ECU Question....

I put a p28 out of an automatic del sol "b16" in my car and it does an idle rev "vrooom, idle, vrooom, idle, ect" and i'm throwin a check engine for code 19 "automatic tranny lock up solenoid". Well I was on http://www.pgmfi.org and i read on how to switch the ecu from auto to manual by replacing 2 resistors so on an so forth. Well I still have my P06 stock ecu and I'm gonna put it back in until i can switch over the P28 but, I have my vtec wiring ran through the harness and I'm curious as far as, well plugging my stock non vtec P06 in with the vtec wiring ran make my car run diff?? I didnt wanna do it and have sumthing muff up and than me be the idiot... Any help...???

It will run fine, just no VTEC. You can also chip the P06 to P28 specs if you wanted.....

p28s are not off a b16.

second on all you can chip it in the matter of 20 minutes or less and put it back into the car.

I wasn't saying it came stock out of a B16, I was saying that's what it was in before my car "simply stating that it worked fine before in an automatic, now in a manual"... It's possible to chip a P06 to work with VTEC..???

yes, they use the same board, the VTEC components are somewhat difficult to come by, but there are work arounds. It will be easier to convert the P28 to a manual. I just wanted to let you know about the P06.....

sweet, yeah i was thinking about chipping my P28.. I'm doing the auto to manual conversion today i got the print out on http://www.pgmfi.org the other day and found out yesterday that my boy carlos's dad, makes circuit boards "eeproms and stuff" for this huge company... So got ahold of his dad and he said stop by today and we'll do it so thats in the bag, but my next mission is finding what chip to put in it... spoon, mugen, viper, ect.... I know there a bunch of cheap-o-chips for like 10 bucks that illiminate speed limiter and all that, but I want something that Im really gonna be able to tell a difference with... I already have the JDM Cluster with 8200 redline so I know i want something thats gonna boost my redline, help my fuel, and just be good for daily driver and some street racing.. Any ideas on a good chip????

I wouldn't suggest just getting an ebay chip or anything. If you are deadset on getting a new chip, you can go through http://www.hyperducktuning.com. Just getting a chip won't do much, tust me, I've tried several different programs, and honestly teh stock P28 program works the best. If you are really serious about it, you could always look into Uberdata or something & tune it yourself.
