neither the d series engine have weak connecting rods. I threw mine through the block just running at 6 grand for a couple minutes. It will cost around 400dollars for rods plus the turbo. I reccomend an engine swap with an engine that you can build up (b series)

What?
And you can safely boost a d15 or d16 to 8psi maybe a little more without blowing anything.

What!?! I don't think so.
Personally I'd say nitrous, cheap, easy, fast, and stealthy.

Re: d15b (B2CivMan)
yes supercharger does ware your engine quiker than turbo and nos is only usful on the track.....if you want more pick up say on the highway use turbo...its better than the 500 fine per tank of nitro in your car pluss possible impound depending on where you live............and refilling the bottles not to mention the strain put on the engine. to much youll blow numerouse seals and etc.
superchargers ware the engine quiker because they are constanly leaching off the engine and run consistantly even when at idel as apposed to turbos taking in free power independent of the engine from forcing air into the intake...air is free superchagers need to take to give in a sence.

Re: d15b (williejohnson)
Turbo makes more power, will need aftermarket rods. However, supercharger will not have turbo lag, but makes less power. Your choice.
