D-Series Tech Help
Hi i was woundering how to remove the head, this is for my friend and he took the 8 bolts off the head what next, ive searched but theirs alot of restricted words you cant use like how, to etc.. Thanks

ok
1st there are 10 bolts that hold the head on.
2nd if you're pulling off the cylinder head you have to loosen the bolts in a specific order so the head doesn't warp.
3rd you should buy a service manual
4th you should read the service manual before pulling apart the motor

ohh ya theirs 10 well im not at his house hes sendin me pics through email but isnt their a spot behind the head were you can pry it without damaging the head and block?

yipes, I wouldn't pry on it. when I took off my head I undid the bolts (in the right order) and the head just came off. there are 2 dowel pins that line it up, but they weren't an issue. I see you still have the intake manifold on.. there is a brace on it that bolts to the block, you should have the exhaust mani off, and the timing belt too

man ill have to see when i get off work, if i look at something i know what im doing but im currently at work and hes telling me stuff through phone and its hard to think but thanks for your help
