CX 1 wire to 4 wire O2 sensor help
I just got through doing B18B1 swap in my 93 CX hatchback. I have from the sensor to harness plug in engine compartment wired for the new 4 wire sensor. I think that is as far as I have to go.
Is the wiring okay engine harness to ecu?
It looks like those wires are there even though only a 1 wire sensor was in engine.
I've searched, but I'm still unsure how far the wireing has to be added.
The car really really runs great, but it idles about 1500k when first started and then after a few minutes, starts surging up and down from about 800-1500 rpm. The check engine light will come after driving a couple miles only if you really get on it, which of course, is hard not to do.
When I check it for a code by shorting out plug under glove box, there are no codes in ecu.
Puzzling?
Any suggestions?
Thanks,
Ron

Re: CX 1 wire to 4 wire O2 sensor help (scuzz)
From what i've read on ff-squad the wiring only needs to be added to the engine harness and not from the ecu to the shock tower plugs. therefore using a '94 - '95 DX engine harness would make the whole thing plug and play, don't get a '92 - '93 harness or you will not have a MAP sensor connector.

Re: CX 1 wire to 4 wire O2 sensor help (94EG8)
That's what I've kind of figured out since posting.
I found the color codes for the wires and pulled my ecu plug, and they seem to all be there but I think one was diffenent color than the info I had.
For some reason, the B18B1 setup I took out of a wrecked 92 hatch will flash a cel light if you really get on it, but not show a code when shorting out plug.
The car is also idling really high and then surging at idle after running for a while. I thought it might be O2 problem.
Any suggestions? I've already cleaned FITV.
