custom exhaust on my 94 eg coupe.
Cut out stock 2inch piping, welded a cherrybomb in its place...then welded the stock pipe from where the resanator would be and it curved and angled perfect out the side....then welded the piece that was replaced with cherrybomb to attach it and stuck out the side...headted and hammber in the frame under sideskirt and it doesnt scrape..

So with no muffler and just a resonator it will sound along the lines of a BC:S2. im guessing it's not too quiet ?? would like a GOOD sound clip OP

Could tuck a motorcycle exhaust can right up under there to clean up the sound a bit depending on how it sounds now...
My current setup has both a glasspack and a muffler similar to what was removed and it sounded really clean.

Curious what it sounds like, cant sound too great being on a single cam. Maybe like buzzy buzzy bees is what im guessing.

2000 civic cherry bomb exhaust - YouTube
Honda Civic D16 AEM 1998 with 2 1/4 inches straight pipe exhaust and cherry bomb - YouTube
Similar setup. Both kind of make me feel like I'm being stabbed in the ear drums.

The bottom one sounds like a weed whacker with a pack of bees in the engine.
They should call these bee hives not cherry bombs.
Good work though OP. I'm sure it's the sound you're going for and it looks cool coming out the side.
Get some close ups of those welds, they look nice from what I can see.

Where did all this obsession with "exhaust sound" come from? Why do people spend $$ on something that has no performance value just to have some crappy sound?
I tend to buy my exhaust for performance and whatever sound comes out the end is what I get. Those cherry bomb glass packs will break down over a few months and will eventually get louder.

i have had cherry bombs before and have lasted a very long time 4+ years.
el cheapo imitation i can see not lasting long at all. But i am not trying to debate over it i am just stating ME personally have had great luck with them before on hondas and other vehicles. I mainly use them as a resonator to take the raspyness out of the exhaust note.

You did a little bit of basic welding. Congratulations. Did you just learn how to weld? Exhaust is welding 101.
That said, if you're going to get butthurt over people's opinions, don't post on an open forum. It's an open forum - we aren't all obligated to love your **** because you did a little bit of welding work. But hey, congrats on adding 0 HP to your car, while making it a moving target for the flashing blue lights.
